Surcharges & Tolls

Limousine licensees may set and adjust fuel surcharges as long as passengers are informed at the time the service is booked. The surcharge amount (or quantified method of calculation) must be disclosed at the time of booking. Specific requirements are set out in section 5 of the Board rule, “Minimum-Maximum Rates and Standard Rules for Limousines in BC.”
Taxi & other PDV Fuel Surcharges
The Board reviews taxi rates every year. It uses a Taxi & Limousine Cost Index (TLCI) to see if taxi rates should be increased. Fuel prices are included in the TLCI calculations. Fuel surcharges are not available for taxis.
Fuel surcharges are not be available to shuttles and other passenger-directed vehicles.
The Golden Ears Bridge links Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge to Langley, Surrey and beyond. Tolls apply to each trip across the bridge, in either direction.
